Brief Introduction

School of Education is composed of the Department of Education, the Department of Education Technology, Teachers’ Skills Training Center, Principals' Training Center for Secondary and Primary Schools and Modern Education Technology Center. Therefore, School of Education is a comprehensive teachers' training center with the functions of education research, pre-service teacher education, principals' training for secondary and primary schools.

School of Education has a rich faculty team of excellent teachers, including professors and associate professors that account for 55 percents .So far, School of Education has a group of well-organized and high-level faculty. Jiabin Tian Building with a square of 12 thousand supplies high equipments for teaching with advanced teaching apparatus.

Pedagogy, Primary school education

the major mainly trains Primary school teachers who are qualified with the teaching and research for Primary school. Main programmers: the principle of education, the theory of teaching, education research for Primary school, the educational history of China, Children psychology, educational psychology, psychological health education, computer competency and training, etc. Many schools in Jiangsu province and Shanghai welcome those undergraduates who graduate from the major. Some top postgraduates universities enroll some of them.

Pedagogy, Educational psychology

students graduate from the major has basic psychological education knowledge and skills with creative abilities. They are capable of psychological education work in different level of schools and other institutions. They are also qualified with primary and secondary Chinese teaching. Main programmers: general psychology, the principles of psychological education, psychological counseling and therapy, psychological Measure, experimental psychology, educational psychology, sociological psychology, learning psychology, a study of psychological counseling case, etc. The undergraduates have many choices in employment. On one hand, they can go in for psychological education work in different level of schools and other institutions; on the other hand, they can work in personal development corporations. They may take postgraduates examinations for further study.

Education technology

the major consists of two orientations: information technology education and digital transmission technology.

Information technology education: the major mainly train students who can devise, develop, utilize, manage and evaluate education technology by means of modern education thought and information technology. The undergraduates are also qualified with information technology teaching in schools and technicians in TV stations.

Digital transmission technology: the major mainly requires student with the abilities of making and developing educational software and managing digital net resources. They can be employed in TV stations, ad, media making, net corporations, educational departments and news press agency.
